Butter & Egg Days Parade & Festival 2026
📍 Historic Downtown Petaluma 🕐 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM (Parade: Noon – 2:00 PM)
Petaluma’s signature celebration returns — this year themed “America’s Birthday — Petaluma Style” in honor of the nation’s 250th anniversary. The day kicks off at 10 AM with the Cow Chip Throwing Contest at McNear’s and the Cutest Chick Contest at 10:15 AM in front of Copperfield’s Books on Kentucky St. The Clover Kids’ Parade steps off at 11:30 AM, followed by the main parade at Noon featuring 100+ units and roughly 3,000 participants. The festival spans four city blocks with food, arts & crafts, two kids’ areas, live music, and beverage gardens (cashless). No pets, please.
